Nokia announced two new sliding phones - Nokia 6700 Slide and Nokia 7230. Both of them has middle class set of technical characteristics and are positioned as devices for social networks users.

Nokia 6700 Slide has steel case and runs on Symbian S60 operating system. There is also 2.2 inch screen, 5 Mp camera with Carl Zeiss optics, Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP and microSD memory card slot. Available colors will be pink, silver, blue, green, red and violet.

In contrast to the 6700 Slide Nokia 7230 runs on Series 40 platform, has 2.4 inch screen and 3.2 Mp camera. Other technical specifications are identical. Both these mobile phones will become available in the beginning of 2010. Nokia 6700 Slide will cost EUR160 and Nokia 7230 will cost EUR100.

Together with its first netbook Nokia announced Nokia 5230. It is simplified version of Nokia 5800 XpressMusic. It has not so impressive set of technical features and but costs only €149. Nokia 5230 is equipped with 3.2 inch touch screen with 640×360 px resolution, 2 Mp camera with autofocus and flash, 0.3 Mp camera for video calls, FM radio, 70 Mb built in memory, microSD memory card slot, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, GPS, 3.5 mm audio jack and 1350 mAh battery. Supported network standards are GSM/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900 MHz, WCDMA/HSDPA. The operating system is Symbian S60 5th Edition. Nokia 5230 will become available in the beginning of the fourth quarter of this year.

Recently Samsung introduced Jet S8000 and Omnia II i8000 devices. But according some sources the producers is almost ready to show one more smartphone. It is Samsung M8000. The operating system of this mobile device is Symbian S60v5. Today Nokia announced some new mobile devices. One of them is Nokia 5530 XpressMusic. This smartphone is heir of Nokia 5800 XpressMusic and also has monoblock shape factor and big touch screen with tactile feedback technology support. But the list of other technical characteristics is not so impressive. Nokia 5530 XpressMusic has 2.9 inch touch screen with 640×360 px resolution and 262K colors, 3.2 Mp camera with autofocusing and flash, FM radio with RDS, 70 Mb built in memory, microSD memory card slot, Wi-Fi (802.11b/g), Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, 3.5 mm audio jack and 1000 mAh battery. The operating system is S60 5th Edition. Supported network standards are GSM/GPRS/EDGE 800/900/1800/1900 MHz. Nokia 5530 XpressMusic will become available by the end of the third quarter of this year and will cost €200.

At last SE company officially announced its new “flagman” mobile phone. It is Sony Ericsson Satio which is also known as Idou. The operating system is Symbian (S60 5th Edition) so this device belongs to smartphones class. The most remarkable feature is 12.1 Mp camera with 12-x digital zoom, autofocusing and face detection function. Sony Ericsson Satio has 3.5 inch touch screen with 360×640 px resolution, FM radio with RDS, 128 Mb built in memory, microSD memory card slot, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP, G-sensor, TV out and GPS module.
