The thinnest QWERTY mobile phone has been just introduced by Pantech company. It is Pantech Slate is assigned for young people therefore this mobile device has not very impressive set of technical features. But acceptable price makes up this deficiency. It is only $50. The list of features of Pantech Slate includes 1.3 Mp camera, MP3 player, Bluetooth with A2DP profile and A-GPS chip. The Slate is available in black with royal blue.
It seems to be that Pantech Duo smartphone will have heir soon. It is double sliding phone both with usual and QWERTY keyboard. According to Boy Genius Report Pantech Duo’s hair will be Pantech Matrix C740. It will also have two keyboards. In contrast to its ancestor Pantech Matrix mobile device will run not on Windows Mobile but on some special platform. It will support GSM/EDGE, UMTS/HSDPA and will have 1.3 Mp camera and Bluetooth module.
South Korean Pantech company introduced SKY IM-S380K mobile phone. Like other phones of this producer this new device is distinguished by its original design. Pantech IM-S380K is sliding phone and supports third generation networks with HSDPA. The set of technical features of this mobile device is rather usual for Pantech phones - integrated FM radio, Bluetooth connectivity, a memory card slot, built-in dictionary and MP3 playback. The resolution of the display is not know, but it’s highly probable for it to be a 240 x 400 one, which is not bad. No idea on pricing or availability though.
Pantech company which sells its mobile phones as SKY in Korea introduced new CDMA/EDVO mobile device SKY IM-S340L. This is sliding phone and is meant for web surfing. To provide the most quality Internet access this mobile phone supports broadband data transfer technology in CDMA – EVDO networks. New Pantech mobile phone has 2.4 inch screen, 1.3 Mp camera, dictionary and Microsoft Office documents support.
Korean company Pantech introduced new mobile device which is designed in “e2e” style. Pantech IM-R300 has big touch screen which cover almost all front surface of mobile phone. Its size is 102×51x13.9 mm and weight is 111 gr. Besides Pantech IM-R300 supports third generation networks, has 2.6 inch touch screen with 400×240 px resolution (WQVGA), 2 Mp camera, 250 Mb memory with microSD support, TV-tuner, GPS and eWallet support.
