Openmoko company introduced new mobile phone Neo Freerunner. This is the version of Neo 1973 which was announced last year. Neo Freerunner has impressive set of both hardware and software features. Besides this mobile phone has very unusual design. This device has all chances to become the best present-day smartphone. For example VGA resolution is the best on the present-day mobile market.

Neo Freerunner has 2.8 inch touch screen with 480 x 640 px resolution, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, USB port, 128 Mb RAM, Samsung 2442B CPU (400 MHz), microSD support and 3D accelerometer which gives an opportunity to set image orientation automatically.

This new mobile device runs on Linux OS which is very adaptive. Almost every user can change operating system in that way in that way he wants. According to Openmoko owners there are a lot of free software on the official website of the company.

Nevertheless there are some disadvantages. This mobile device doesn’t support EDGE and 3G. That means users which do not use Wi-Fi have very slow Internet connection. Other disadvantages are weight (185 gr.) and size (121 x 61 x 19 mm)
