As it was expected Gigabyte Communications has just announced its first Android communicator. It will become available by the end of the February and will cost about $300. It is also known that this mobile device will have 2.8 inch touch screen with 240×320 px resolution, 2 Mp camera with autofocus, 528 MHz Qualcomm ESM7225 CPU, 256 Mb RAM, 512 Mb built-in storage, microSD memory card slot, Bluetooth 2.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g, GPS and 3.5 mm audio jack. The version of Android OS is 1.6.

Gigabyte Communications has just officially introduced GSmart MW720 communicator. This is stylish device with nice set of characteristics. It has Smart Touch user interface which is assigned for finger control. The list of technical features also includes 2.8 inch touch screen with 480×640 px resolution, 5 Mp camera with flash and face detection function support, Intel XScale PX270 520MHz CPU, 128 Mb RAM, 256 Mb ROM, microSD memory card slot, G-sensor, GPS, FM radio, Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g) and Bluetooth 2.0 with EDR. Supported network standards are GSM/GPRS/EDGE 900/1800/1900 MHz. GSmart MW72 communicator runs on Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional operating system.

Gigabyte Communications introduced its three new communicators on Computex 2008. Gigabyte MS802 and Gigabyte MW702 represent universal GPS communicators which main advantages are CPU Marvel PXA 270 (520 MHz), 128 Mb RAM and 256 Mb ROM. The main difference between MS800 and MW700 which are ancestors of these new mobile devices is 3 Mp camera. Another interesting feature is G-Sensor. Due to this sensor user can control games and applications simply bending or moving GSmart mobile device. In addition Gigabyte MS802 and Gigabyte MW702 have VGA screen with 480х640 px resolution such fact provides good solution for GPS navigation.

The most functional device from Gigabyte’s novelty is GSmart MS808. It is ancestor of GSmart t600 which was aligned for TV viewing. Both GSmart MS808 and GSmart t600 have VGA screen but screen of new device is bigger – 2.8 inch. MS808 has more powerful CPU, more RAM and 3 Mp camera. Besides new mobile device has GPS function.

User interface is worthy of notice. Smart Touch is superstructure over Windows Mobile and provides more comfortable touch control. All this devices will be put on sale at the beginning of the autumn.
