Chinese producers of mobile phone’s clones react to new devices on-the-fly. For example Motorola Backflip wan announced a month ago but it copy has been already released. Unfortunately MOTOROIAM600 is not smartphone running on Google Android operating system. It is based on MTK platform and has typical for Chinese devices set of characteristics. It supports Dual SIM mode and has 3.2 inch touch screen with 320×480 px resolution, 1.3 Mp camera, Bluetooth, FM radio, and microSD memory card slot (up to 8 Gb). The price is also typical for Chinese phones - $127.

Budget Android smartphone by ZTE

ZTE Smooth

Just a month ago ZTE joined Open Handset Alliance but it has already announced its first smartphone running on Google Android 1.6 operating system at Mobile World Congress 2010. ZTE is known as budget class mobile devices producer and this device is not exclusion. Nevertheless this phone looks stylish and resembles of Palm Pre. ZTE Smooth is vertical slider with QWERTY keyboard. It is said that it has 2.8 inch touch screen with 240×320 px resolution, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, GPS, FM radio, and microSD memory card slot. ZTE Smooth will become available in August and will cost $150.

Coming HTC Legend Android communicator

HTC Legend has not been officially announced yet. But some sources have already published some information. This communicator has stylish and thin case that is made of aluminium. The Legend runs on Google Android 2.1 operating system with HTC Sense user interface. The list of technical characteristics includes 600 MHz Qualcomm MSM 7227 processor, 3.2 inch AMOLED capacitive touch display with HVGA resolution, 5 MP camera with autofocus and LED flash, 256 Mb RAM, 512 Mb ROM, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g, Bluetooth 2.1, GPS module, digital compass, FM radio, accelerometer, 3.5 mm headphones jack, microSD memory card slot and 1300 mAh battery. The dimensions of this mobile device are 112×56.3×11.5 mm. HTC Legend is expected to be announced on Mobile World Congress 2010.

The design and list of technical characteristics of this communicator are very similar to HTC HD’s ones. But HTC Supersonic runs on Android 2.1 not on Windows Mobile 6. This device features 4.3 inch OLED touch screen, 1 GHz CPU and 5 MP camera. Besides it cannot be even doubted that HTC Supersonic is equipped with Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP, FM radio, GPS, memory card slot and 3.5 mm audio jack. It is expected that this communicator will become available in the beginning of the third quarter of 2010.

The version of Android OS is 1.6.

It is also know that this device will be sold by T-Mobile for $199 with contract. Google Nexus One runs on Android 2.1 operating system and supports GSM/GPRS/EDGE and UMTS/HSUPA networks. The list of technical characteristics looks good and includes 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU, 3.5 inch OLED touch screen with 800×480 px resolution, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g, Bluetooth 2.1 +EDR, GPS and microSDHC memory card slot.

Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 official announce

At last Sony Ericsson officially announced its long-awaited Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 (it is also known as Xperia X3 and Rachael). This high-end device will run on Android 1.6 Donut operating system with UX (user experience) platform that provides quick access both to entertaining and communication functions. Two key features of UX are Timescape and Mediascape; both of them are running as a standalone application but fully integrated in terms of features into each of the native applications. Timescape handles events, with a single view of tumbling panes each detailing the most recent changes, updates or events like SMS, email messages, calls, voicemails, photos, Twitter or Facebook updates. Mediascape provides quick access to media content like photos, audio, video and such popular services as YouTube and PlayNow.

As for technical characteristics Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 has 4 inch capacitive touch screen with WVGA (480×854 px) resolution, 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU, 1 Gb built-in memory, microSD card slot and 3.5 mm audio jack. The camera is 8.1 Mp unit with LED flash, geo tagging, autofocus, face and smile detection functions support. Other hardware specifications include GPS, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP. Supported networks standards are GSM/GPRS/EDGE (850/900/1800/1900 MHz), UMTS/HSPA (900/1700/2100 or 800/1900/2100 MHz). The X10 measures 119 x 63 x 13 mm and weights 135 g. Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 will become available in the beginning of 2010.
