Sony Ericsson A8i: X10 for China
This device is the first Sony Ericsson’s smartphone designed for Chinese market. That means that this high-end device supports TD-SCDMA network standard (Chinese 3G). Sony Ericsson A8i is very close to Sony Ericsson Xperia X10. It has the same design but the list of specifications differs. Sony Ericsson A8i runs on OPhone OS 2.0 (Chinese version of Android) and is equipped with 3.5 inch touch screen with 480x854px resolution, 5 Mp camera with autofocus and flash, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, digital compass, CNMB TV tuner, FM radio, accelerometer, 3.5mm headphones jack, 200 Mb internal storage, microSD external memory card slot. The dimensions are 117x59x14mm, the weight is 136g. Sony Ericsson A8i is expected to become available in October. No word about price.
