Just another Chinese iPhone clone

It is not a secret that many iPhone owners want this device to have QWERTY keypad. But Chinese developers are always ready to meet the wishes and announced Cooli902. This mobile phone has sliding QWERTY keyboard and 3 inch touch screen with 240×400 px resolution. Other characteristics of this phone are 2 Mp camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, TV tuner, FM radio and microSD memory card slot (up to 4 GB). The dimensions are 113х57х16 mm. Cooli902 has been already in sale and costs $142.

Carmangi company has just announced its first mobile Internet device. Carmangi WebStation runs on Android 2.0 operating system and has nice set of technical characteristics that includes 7 inch touch screen with 800×480 px resolution, Marvell PXA303 624 MHz CPU, 128 MB RAM, 256 Mb NAND memory, accelerometer, loud speakers, 3.5 mm audio jack and 4000 mAh battery. Carmangi WebStation measures 120х200х14.5 mm and weights 390 g.

Two coming phones by Nokia

Nokia announced two new sliding phones - Nokia 6700 Slide and Nokia 7230. Both of them has middle class set of technical characteristics and are positioned as devices for social networks users.

Nokia 6700 Slide

Nokia 6700 Slide has steel case and runs on Symbian S60 operating system. There is also 2.2 inch screen, 5 Mp camera with Carl Zeiss optics, Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP and microSD memory card slot. Available colors will be pink, silver, blue, green, red and violet.

Nokia 7230

In contrast to the 6700 Slide Nokia 7230 runs on Series 40 platform, has 2.4 inch screen and 3.2 Mp camera. Other technical specifications are identical. Both these mobile phones will become available in the beginning of 2010. Nokia 6700 Slide will cost EUR160 and Nokia 7230 will cost EUR100.

Dell Vostro A90 netbook

Dell Vostro A90

Dell has just released its new netbook. Dell Vostro A90 costs only $184 and is equipped with 8.9 inch screen with 1024×600 pixels resolution, Intel Atom 1.6 GHz processor, 1 Gb RAM and 8 Gb SSD. There is also Wi-Fi and 0.3 Mp webcam. Dell Vostro A90 runs on Ubuntu Linux 8.0.4 operating system but future owners of this device can install Windows or any other OS. If the 8GB stock drive feels a little cramped, Dell will upgrade you to a more capacious 16GB for another $50.

Samsung B5722 Dual SIM phone

Samsung is ready to widen its Duos series of mobile phones. Samsung B5722 has two SIM card slots. The first slot is for GSM 850/900/1800/1900 MHz networks and the second one is for GSM 900/1800 MHz. It is also known that this mobile phone is equipped with 2.8 inch touch screen with 240×320 px resolution, 3.2 Mp camera, Bluetooth, FM radio, microSD memory card slot and 1200 mAh battery. Unfortunately Samsung B5722 doesn’t belong to smartphones class but it has TouchWiz Lite 1.0 user interface. It is expected that this mobile device will be officially announced next month.

Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 official announce

At last Sony Ericsson officially announced its long-awaited Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 (it is also known as Xperia X3 and Rachael). This high-end device will run on Android 1.6 Donut operating system with UX (user experience) platform that provides quick access both to entertaining and communication functions. Two key features of UX are Timescape and Mediascape; both of them are running as a standalone application but fully integrated in terms of features into each of the native applications. Timescape handles events, with a single view of tumbling panes each detailing the most recent changes, updates or events like SMS, email messages, calls, voicemails, photos, Twitter or Facebook updates. Mediascape provides quick access to media content like photos, audio, video and such popular services as YouTube and PlayNow.

As for technical characteristics Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 has 4 inch capacitive touch screen with WVGA (480×854 px) resolution, 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU, 1 Gb built-in memory, microSD card slot and 3.5 mm audio jack. The camera is 8.1 Mp unit with LED flash, geo tagging, autofocus, face and smile detection functions support. Other hardware specifications include GPS, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP. Supported networks standards are GSM/GPRS/EDGE (850/900/1800/1900 MHz), UMTS/HSPA (900/1700/2100 or 800/1900/2100 MHz). The X10 measures 119 x 63 x 13 mm and weights 135 g. Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 will become available in the beginning of 2010.
