At last SE company officially announced its new “flagman” mobile phone. It is Sony Ericsson Satio which is also known as Idou. The operating system is Symbian (S60 5th Edition) so this device belongs to smartphones class. The most remarkable feature is 12.1 Mp camera with 12-x digital zoom, autofocusing and face detection function. Sony Ericsson Satio has 3.5 inch touch screen with 360×640 px resolution, FM radio with RDS, 128 Mb built in memory, microSD memory card slot, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP, G-sensor, TV out and GPS module. Supported network standards are GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900 MHz and UMTS/HSDPA 2100 MHz.

At the beginning of this year General Mobile announced its first Android communicator with Dual SIM card mode support. Now we have some new information about this remarkable device. General Mobile DSTL1 communicator has classic shape factor, nice design and impressive list of technical characteristics. The only disadvantage is absence of GPS module and third generation networks support. This mobile device has 624MHz Marvell PXA 310 CPU, 3 inch WQVGA (400×240 px) touchscreen display, 4 Gb built in memory, microSD/HC memory card slot 5 Mp SONY brand autofocus camera with flash, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi modules. Supported networks are GSM/EDGE (900/1800/1900 MHz). General Mobile DSTL1 will be released in June and will cost approximately $550.

AT&T has already announced some new devices. Here is another one – Samsung Pivot. It has classic shape factor, QWERTY keyboard and impressive set of technical characteristics – 2.6 inch touch screen with 320×240 px resolution, QWERTY keyboard, 3 Mp camera, 2 Gb RAM, 4 Gb ROM, microSD memory card slot, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, A-GPS module and 1700 mAh battery. The release will take place in October.

AT&T announced some new device that will be released in a next few months. This list of devices also includes Motorola Sawgrass and Motorola Heron. Both of these mobile phones are QWERTY sliders and support GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900 MHz, WCDMA/HSDPA 850/1900 MHz networks.

Motorola Heron is also know as Iron Man and belongs to the class of smartphones. The operating system is Android. The screen has 2.8 inch diagonal and 240×320 px resolution. Other technical characteristics are QC MSM7225 CPU, 3 Mp camera with flash, 128 Mb RAM, 256 Mb ROM, microSD memory card slot, Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP and A-GPS module.

Motorola Sawgrass is assigned for social networks lovers and has 2.5 inch touch screen with 240×320 px resolution, 2 Mp camera, 100 Mb built in memory, microSD card slot, Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP and A-GPS module.

IBM company never produced mobile phones. But it seems that Chinese developers didn’t know that. Here is IBM Touch T600. It has classic shape factor. Surprisingly this device is not typical Chinese phone but Windows Mobile 6.1 operating system based smartphone. The list of technical features includes 2.8 inch touch screen with 240×320 px resolution, 624MHZ CPU, 256Mb ROM, 128 Mb RAM, memory card slot, 2.0 Mp camera, Dual SIM mode support, Bluetooth 2.0, Wi-Fi and GPS modules. It is also notable that IBM Touch T600 has pre-installed user interface which reminds of TouchFlo. The price of this remarkable device is $239.

This mobile device will become available in AT&T operator’s shops at the beginning of the August. This sliding communicator runs on Android operating system with HTC Social Messaging User Interface. Supported network standards are GSM/EDGE and UMTS/HSDPA/HSUPA. The list of technical features includes 2.8 inch touch screen with 240×320 px resolution, ARM11 CPU, 3 Mp fixed-focus camera, microSD memory card slot, Bluetooth 2.0 module, 1350 mAh battery and aGPS support. Surprising fact the HTC Lancaster has no Wi-Fi module. Unfortunately there is no any information about price.

Some people have never heard about Czech Mivvy company, nevertheless it has just introduced three new mobile devices – Dual Nio, Dual Slider and Dual TV Touch. The main feature of these phones is Dual–SIM support. All of these devices support GSM 850/900/1800/1900 MHz networks.

Mivvy Dual Nio belongs to budget class devices. Its list of technical features is not very impressive but taking into consideration the price (€120) this device can become popular. It has 2 inch touch screen with 240×320 px resolution and 262 K colors, 0.3 Mp camera, FM Radio, microSD memory card slot and Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP.

Mivvy Dual Slider is a sliding device. It has 2 inch screen with 176×220 px resolution, 2 Mp camera, microSD memory card slot, FM radio, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP and 700 mAh battery. The price of this mobile phone is €150.

The third device is Mivvy Dual TV Touch. It has classic shape factor and features non-standard layout of buttons. It is also notable that the back side of this mobile phone reminds of HTC Touch Diamond. By the way user interface also is very similar to TouchFLO 3D. The list of technical characteristics includes 2.6 inch touch screen with 240×320 px resolution, 1.3 Mp camera, FM radio, microSD memory card slot, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, TV tuner, G-sensor and stereo loud speakers.

Nokia company has just officially announced its new mobile phone – Nokia 6600i Slide. It is heir of 6600 which was released a year ago. The case of this device is made of steel so it looks very stylish. Nokia 6600i Slide has 2.2 inch TFT screen with 320×240 px resolution and 16 mln. colors, 5 Mp camera with autofocus and double LED flash, 20 Mb built in memory, microSDHC memory card slot (up to 16 Gb), Bluetooth 2.0 module and accelerometer. Supported network standards are GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900 MHz and UMTS 850/2100 MHz. This mobile phone will be released by the end of the third quarter of this year and will cost €200.

It is expected that Canadian Research in Motion company will introduce some new devices this year. One of them is BlackBerry Storm 2 which photos have just appeared in the global network. In contrast to its predecessor this mobile phone has thinner case and sensory buttons under the screen. BlackBerry Storm 2 also has 3.2 Mp camera, Wi-Fi and GPS. It is said that this mobile device will be officially announced this fall and will be released by the end of this year.

While giants of mobile industry are only plan to produce netbooks which run on Android operating system, Chinese Skytone has already introduced such device. It is Alpha 680. This device is based on ARM11 533 MHz CPU and has 7 inch turning screen with 800×480 px resolution, 128 Mb DDR2 RAM, 1 Gb SSD, SD memory card slot and Wi-Fi module. The list of technical features is not very impressive but satisfies almost all office-grade PC requirements. Alpha 680 will become available in the third quarter and will cost $250.
