Samsung introduced its new Samsung i8510 which is both advanced smartphone and cameraphone at the same time. The most of attention attracts camera of this device. Its resolution is 8 Mp. Camera also has auto focus, picture stabilization function, face and smile recognition function. There is also special feature for panoramic photography. Available video resolution is 640 x 480 (30 fps) and 320 x 240 (120 fps). Device also gives an opportunity to edit video files. Other technical features keep up with camera ones. The date of release of this mobile device is unknown but it seems to be that Samsung will not delay it.

Information about new Nokia N85 smartphone has appeared on official Nokia website. New Nokia mobile phone is designed as sliding device and is equipped with 5 Mp camera. According to information from the site Nokia N85 will support GSM/GPRS/EDGE, WCDMA/HSDPA and Wi-Fi. Nokia N85 will run on Symbian 9.3 (S60 3rd Edition FP2) and have 240 x 320 px resolution screen

FFC has just approved new Velocity Mobile 103 communicator .This device was introduced on CTIA Wireless 2008. Velocity Mobile company was founded by Inventec together with designers of wireless equipment. Velocity Mobile 103 has touch screen, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, TV-out, microSD card slot. New mobile phone supports GSM/EDGE and UMTS/HSDPA and runs on Window Mobile

Today Sony Ericsson introduced three new mobile phones from Walkman Series. They are Sony Ericsson E902, Sony Ericsson W302 and Sony Ericsson W595 which is in contrast to others is sliding phone. It is successor of Sony Ericsson W580.

SE W595 has 2.2 inch screen with 320 x 240 px resolution (the screen is made of special durable glass which is insensitive to scratches), 3.2 Mp camera, M2 memory card slot, FM radio, Bluetooth 2.0 and stereo dynamics. According to Sony Ericsson this new mobile device is stylish, handy, portable and has perfect musical features. The phone will appear in the fourth quarter of this year.

The popularity of mobile phones which support dual SIM card mode grows instantly not only in Asia but also in Europe. Nevertheless such big mobile phones producers rare pay attention to this fact and the most of dual SIM mobile devices are produced by Chinese vendors. The firs big company which produced such device was Samsung. But now Motorola introduced its new Motorola VE75 with dual SIM card support.

Motorola VE75 communicator has 2 Mp camera, multimedia player, microSD card slot, USB 2.0, Bluetooth and 2.5 inch touch screen with 240 x 400 px resolution.

This mobile device has very nice design and represents classic sliding phone. There is no detailed information about its technical features, but it seems to be new Samsung Slash will belong to inexpensive series. It is known that device will have Bluetooth and camera. The battery of the phone provides 170 hours of standby mode and 3.5 hours in active mode. Its size is 96.5 x 45.7 x 17.8 and weight is 85 g. Samsung Slash phone will be sold in Virgin Mobile operator’s shops.

Samsung company introduced mobile phone which has D980/D988 index. This new gadget’s main feature is touch screen and dual SIM support. Earlier Samsung made an attempt to create mobile phone with big touch screen and dual SIM card support. This device was marked as Samsung P720 but working was stopped because they didn’t manage to realize SIM cards switching by means of touch screen.

Later Samsung developed TouchWiz user interface. Due to this fact company realized this mobile phone. The name of the phone for China is Samsung D988 and for other countries is Samsung D980 DuoS.

Set of technical features of Samsung D980/D988 includes support of three GSM diapasons, 2.6 inch touch screen (320 x 240 px), 5 Mp camera with auto focus and flash gun, Bluetooth 2.0 and microSD card slot.

BBK k300 is designed according to classic shape factor and has rather poor technical features in contrast to BBK k320. This mobile device is assigned for GSM/GPRS 900/1800 networks. It has 240 x320 px resolutions screen, 128 Mb memory, 0.3 Mp camera, Bluetooth 1.2 with A2DP and microSD card support. As you can see this phone has rather nice design which n combination with low price will make this device rather popular.

Motorola company officially introduced replenishment of ZINE series of mobile phones. Motorola ZN200 is sliding phone and has rather poor set of features but its design looks nice It is assigned for 3G networks has 176×220 px screen and 2 Mp camera. There is also FM radio, Bluetooth module, 30 Mb memory and microSD card support. The sale will start at the beginning of September. Approximate price is 315$.

According to research which was carried out by ABI Research the most popular function of mobile phones were ascertained. Gallup poll which was carried out in 7 countries showed that 47% of respondents thought that camera with at least 2 Mp resolution is integral part of any mobile phone. 34% believe that Bluetooth is essential. 32% cannot imagine mobile phone without multimedia player functions. Besides vice-president of ABI Research Clint Wheelock noted that needs of mobile phones users of different countries are also different. For example users from Taiwan believe that presence of mobile phone’s camera much more important than US users believe. Whereas Bluetooth is very important for users from Western Europe and isn’t essential for Japanese and Korean.
